I wanted to share with all of you one of my favorite DSPs in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. This is BEAUTY OF THE EARTH DSP! I initially ordered it because I needed some fall colors to stamp with, but when I received it and went through all of the patterns I FELL IN LOVE! The COLORS! Oh the colors! I saw the Cinnamon Cider in this print and immediately thought about Stampin' Up!'s Copper Foil. So I put the two together and added some Misty Moonlight as well. The DSP makes the entire card!
To create this card I used the Beauty of the Earth DSP, Misty Moonlight and Cinnamon Cider Card Stock, Copper Foil and Cinnamon Cider Ink.
The base is made with Cinnamon Cider card stock measuring 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4". The second layer is Misty Moonlight card stock measuring 4 2/8" x 5 6/8" and the third layer (the DSP) measuring 4" x 5 1/4".
I used the Layering Circle dies to create some of the pieces I used on this card. The small circle is cut out of the DSP layer of my card and the scalloped circle I cut out of the Copper Foil. (use the size of each that you feel are best) They layer on top of each other. The DSP circle actually completes the print of the DSP when placed on the scallop circle. Isn't that awesome?!!
TIP: Make sure that you place the small circle onto the scalloped circle so it lines up with the DSP so it lines up with the DSP pattern.
The Happy Birthday sentiment iI used s from the stamp set Enjoy The Moment and stamped in Cinnamon Cider ink. I used a die from Frightful Tags to cut out my sentiment.
TIP: The die I chose was the perfect size vertically, but horizontally it was too much. So I cut the sentiment out with the die full length using the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine. I then moved the die and lined it up with the sentiment on the other side, and put it through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine again to get the length I wanted. Then I cut a piece of Copper Foil to a size that just shows a tad behind the sentiment to frame it.
I used the Meadow dies to cut three sprigs, two in Misty Moonlight and one in Cinnamon Cider, and then cut the butterfly die out of Copper Foil.
Please feel free to add whatever you want to the card or it is beautiful with just the circles and a sentiment with twine or ribbon.
